What is Prediabetes?
Prediabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are elevated but not yet high enough for a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. There are typically no obvious symptoms of prediabetes, making it easy to go undetected for years. Without lifestyle changes, prediabetes can evolve into type 2 diabetes and increase your risk of heart disease or strokes.
Understand if you’re at risk of developing diabetes. Take this simple 3-minute prediabetes risk quiz developed by the CDC. Please note, this quiz is not intended to diagnose any medical conditions. If you are concerned about your risk of developing prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, speak to your primary healthcare provider.
